Re: 10/20 Q&A with ___1___
Can you help me know when you call down with Ace High? Is there a general guideline for it? Let me give you a few hands that I wondered about. It seems that after I start calling down with A-high, everyone value bets so much EVERYTHING and I pay em off like a calling station. Before I adjusted by trying to call down more, my WTSD was too low and my Folded to riverbet was way too high (50%ish). I felt like I'm getting runned over.
Here are a few hands that I had questions about. Thanks for any help you can give. Party Poker 10/20 Hold'em (6 max, 4 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 1 fold, Hero raises, 1 fold, BB calls. Flop: (4.50 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) BB checks, Hero bets, BB calls. Turn: (3.25 BB) 5[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players) BB checks, Hero bets, BB raises, Hero folds. Final Pot: 6.25 BB My thought: Was hoping he'd fold a mid-flush draw on the turn. I wasn't sure if I should call the turn after I got raised because my 7 might not be good. I guess I had a 6 out as well. A turn fold is probably real bad here. How about a turn check. If a blank hits on the river (a black 2), do I make a call? How about if a facecard comes like a non-flush jack queen or king? I hope you can give me insight on making that A-high calldown. Thanks 1. |
