Default PP\'s \"Lucky Hand\" Promo, AKA Ppl R dum

I'm checking the hand histories for these Lucky Hands on Party Poker, and most of them seem to be coming from No-Limit SNGs. Furthermore, though the nature of the promotion (winner of each 100,000th hand gets $1000, all other participants get $100) encourages aggressive play, nobody seems to get it. Essentially a thousand bucks is suddenly dumped into the pot... and according to hand history 712500000, everybody FOLDED TO THE BB. Yes, the BB had one thousand dollars folded to him. If it was me, nothing could stop me from seeing the flop, but apparently, Party Poker players are far less observant than I was giving them credit for.

Well, I never bother to read the details on these kinds of promotions myself. So there could conceivably some indication in the user interface that this hand is "lucky", that I might not pick up on. I assume they don't just dump $1000 in chips in the middle of the pot? Is there something in the chat box? How are you supposed to know you are playing whatever share of 1000/100? Do you find out the hand was "lucky" before your first action, or after you fold? If it's after you fold, well, duh, of course you are going to see some hand histories where everyone folded to the BB!

I think thats hillarious.....but honestly I could be in a hand where its an even 100,000 and never know it. The odds of hitting one of those hands is so rare that it would be -EV for me to try and see what hand # I'm on while 4 tabling.

Any idea how late in to the night they run this promo?

The web page says it starts at 6:00EST... but it doesnt say when it ends.

I managed to be a part of one of the hands, it was in a 100+9 sit and go. The down side was that the sit and go had locked me out, and I would have won the hand. Instead of the $1000, I got $100. Great!!!!

I was playing Empire when some dude said, "ok let's play fast now" but on Empire we were nowhere near a winning hand number.

I wonder how they handle that situation?
