Default WSOP 1st (Public) event $1500 NL HE Last Longest Pool

Who wants to be in on a last longest pool for the June 3 $1500 NL HE event? I'm thinking maybe a dozen or so of us put up some bucks.............

Any interst? Maybe $25, or $100 - and whoever lasts longest in the tournament gets the pot (unless you make the last table, then the pot goes to the 2nd best finish).

I'll put my $ where my is. Tell me what you all want to do -

Tempting, especially for the 2+2 bragging rights that would go with it. OK, I'm in.

But realistically, I think LL bets in NLHE aren't that smart. There are many situations that come up where it might make sense to risk your stack early to give yourself position for the rest of the tourney. Purely surviving to the bubble because of a LL bet seems -EV to me. Comments?

In TPFAP, I believe Sklansky says that ll's are only worthwile if they are for a lot of money or a very little amount. That seems to correspond with what you were saying.

Since the idea is to last the longest, anyway, I don't think an LL that's 10% of the buyin or less will affect anyone's strategy or mindset too significantly.

Looks like we have four players for $100 each. Who else wants a piece of the action?

Do you actually have to play in the tournament to win? I mean what if I stay on the rail longer than the rest of you guys are in the tournament will that qualify for last longer?

I predict if anybody from 2+2 recognizes you on the rail, you won't be hanging around there much longer.
