Default \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (4/28)

Tonight's show is a special 5k buyin NL 1 table shootout with various high-rolling LA businessmen and other big names. Maybe we'll get a special guest commentating appearance by Kenna James as well. They need to keep him warmed up in the bullpen to save some of these shows, just give him some pizza and beer and he's all set!

He was an enjoyable part of the show last night, hope he's up for a repeat performance!

It can't be repeated enough: Kenna James was awesome last night in his 1-2 hour stint as guest commentator. I think they would have put Bart on suicide watch had he been forced to do the last 2 hours solo. I hope Kenna returns on a regular basis.

Tonight should be fun. I am looking forward to it.

To sum up the guest commentators last night:

Kenna James - Good, Men Nguyen - No Good

I haven't caught Bike in the last week - was Kenna better than Bart? My pre-Kenna opinion always that Bart was the best, the guy that wasn't Bart was the next, then Shirley, then anyone who happened to wander in front of the microphone, and then Denny.

Has Kenna become the new Bart? Will Bart now be the guy who isn't Kenna? (Which would then make the guy who isn't Bart now ... I don't know what.)

Intrigued,

To better sum it up:

Kenna James: The biggest Champ ever, Men the Master: Not Kenna James...

Well Bargor, Kenna brought a lot of energy (sometimes over the top), while Bart is more toned down. Kenna, though, did a lot of good things, like not rambling forever about insipid stories, and when he did want to talk about something, he waited until the next hand to do it and got it over with quickly without missing too much action. He even read some of the ads and such.

Also, he did add some commentary on the hands when he was not eating pizza. Best part of the night was when Bart and Kenna were thinking of ways to avoid a confrontation with Grace who apparently had some issues with some of their commentary, as someone had told them something that they said.

Bart's job is safe, though. A Bart/Kenna duo would be great if they did it 1-2 times a week.

Bart would've done the last two hours by himself, and that's not really good because he likes to bounce things off people. Kenna was great because he was funny and he kept the show going. Kenna saved last night's show from being really dull and tedious.
