Interesting, but there's something about you being 46 and not having a college degree yet and then getting a job offer of 100k+ that doesn't add up.

I do agree with your belief that college is important though.

Add EXPERIENCE to the equation and you'll probably get 2+2 does indeed = 4.

Depends on the skill. There are alot of specialized fields that only a select few people will do. This is probably why the job is far away and is recruiting him.

... but I am looking at a job offer in Greece because its over 100K plus housing, and that's more than I will make this year.

Wtf! I'm greek and I live in bloody UK (sorry my Briton friends but the weather sucks here) because I can't find a job in Greece. And you get that offer?

I can do it if you say no! It's a great place to live and no taxes for your poker income

Life is just not fair...

how did you have a 6 figure-ie $100,000 downswing while only playing up to $30-60 but usually playing $5-10/$10-20? ...I dont get it..something smells fishy or you meant to say a 5-figure downswing.

6 figures makes no sense unless you went off-tilted, played way way above your regular level...hyperbole I dare say.

In that case if you blew $100K it's a good chance you wiped out half a year to 2 years worth of saved cash from prior play- I don't buy it. Sounds like a good move to take the job.

Default No wonder I had a loss - I can\'t add - 5 figures

Jeez, I deserve a loss for stating I had a 6-figure loss. Sorry, my bad: Six figure job offer, 5-figure loss.

I guess I'm more shook up about losing over $10K than I thought. It was really the quickness, about 200 units at $30/$60 and $15/$30 over two days........

No mistake, college is important, but a couple of famous examples of success without college:

Rush Limbaugh and Peter Jennings

and one not so famous:
