Default Sklansky isn\'t SURE that Hitler was evil.

I have just read that David Sklansky isn't SURE that Hitler was evil. Go read some of the other threads in this forum if you don't know what I am talking about.

David Sklansky, if you would like to explain yourself in clear terms that mere moralistic mortals can understand please do.

Explain it to your Jewish friends while you are at it.

Labeling someone "evil" is a cop-out. It relieves us of the burden of having to try and understand how and why someone could do the deeds which Hitler did, in fact, do.

Do you think Hitler thought he was doing something bad? Or is it possible he was a delusional psycho who honestly believed he was doing right by his countrymen?

And please, don't misunderstand my saying that by "understanding" evildoers means accepting their actions. I would've gladly snuffed out Hitler's life like a bug, with no moral qualms about it.

There is no such thing as evil - only falible, mortal men and women who are intrinsically human. We all have the capabilities to "be evil" under the right circumstances. Again, this isn't an excuse, or a call for leniency for evildoers, only an explanation.

When posts such as the above appear, the moderators should immediately inform the rest of the forum which poker room the poster frequents.
