Talk about buying high on Williams. I also have no idea how this trade could possibly work and how Soriano would fit. His offense would obviously be nice but he's a terrible defender and the Cubs would likely lead the league in errors.

vs todd walker playing there all year. I think the funny part would be after 20 errors and dusty benching soriano for nefi.

I think that would be a great trade for the Cubs. Williams is an absolutely horrible pitcher and Walker is nothing special offensively. Soriano has tremendous power. Don't see it happening but it would be a coup for the Cubs if they pulled it off.

stfu.

Also, Jerome Williams is already an average pitcher at age 24. I don't think that falls under absolutely horrible.

Cubs need to get a few players from the Marlins fire sale. Juan Pierre would look nice hitting leadoff and in center, Miggy in left, and AJ Burnett in the starting rotation.

The greatest infield in the history of baseball? With Soriano and Furcal in it?

This might not be the best infield in the NL Central this year. Pujols and Rolen are good.

And Aramis Ramirez and Derek Lee. Very likely no HOFers in this "greatest" infield.
