20/40 against sfer
Bay 101 20/40
I open UTG with AKo, folded to Dave who 3-bets in the SB. The BB folds, I 4-bet and Dave calls. Flop: 223r Check, bet, call. Turn: 3 Check, bet, call. River: 9 Check, check. |

Looks fine to me, you won't push him off a pair with that board.

Re: 20/40 against sfer
I'm a little afraid of getting checkraised on the turn. On this board, he's going to showdown all the hands in his 3-betting range unless he's donking around. I think it's better to check the turn and call a river bet.
Edit: Whoever convinced you to play 20/40 is rad. |

Re: 20/40 against sfer
Did you think at all about what Dave has here when he 3 bets you?

Re: 20/40 against sfer
Dave 3bet your UTG raise from the small blind. I really this his hand range here includes only big A's and pocket pairs. I think he would fold KQ there (if this is incorrect, feel free to think less of me as a person). As such a turn bet really has no value here. I would check the turn and hope you got to check the river as well, as you really would have to fold to a checkraise.

[/ QUOTE ] Right, so I guess if the turn is checked through, sfer is checking and planning to call on the river. He won't bet AK, so we should be folding to a river bet? Isn't there any level of he knows I know he knows going on where sfer will bet the river with AK if Jason checks the turn? |

Re: 20/40 against sfer
Thats why its hard to play against good players. On the river you gotta figure that Dave knows exactly what 2 cards Jason has (if the turn is checked through), and therefore is going to bet 100% of the time as AK has nothing to lose. So there are 18 combos of hands Jason loses to, and 9 that he ties with. So he is getting 18 to 4.5 on his money, or 4 to 1. Assuming Jason checked the turn, he would be getting 5.5 to 1 on his money, so its a call.
