since people rarely respond to my hands, i figured this would get your attention. come on now...my hands are just as fun as pics of naked girls...anyways, heres my oh so exciting hand...


V1 seemed to be very frustrated with me b/c I raised almost every hand with position. His reraise is probably AK, AQ, AJ. However, V2 is very tight, and his cold call set off an alarm in my head, so I just decided to see a flop. I checked the flop thinking that V2 either has AK, AA, QQ, and I expected V1 to bet. If V1 bet my plan was to see if V2 c/r or just called. If he just called I was going to c/r and if he c/r I considered folding. Unfortunately, V1 didn't bet and we saw a turn. When V2 cold called the turn, I put him on QQ and just decided to call in the hopes of seeing a cheap showdown if I was wrong. I thought maybe V1 had AQ. When V2 checked the river this seemed extremely odd to me; I definately wouldn't check QQ here, and so I decided that my hand was best. I bet 35 hoping to get called by AQ...does this reasoning make sense? How would you have played it? What do you put them on? My reasoning definately screwed me on this one...

But I am curious, With KK, what was your rationale for the check after the flop?

As mentioned, I don't like checking the flop. I raise the turn, make it like 50$ to go. I like the bet size on the river, solid value bet.

1. I am betting out this flop. You can't afford to give a free card to 2 opponents.

2. After the turn is bet to you, you must raise (IMO). If he has the QQ you will find out very quickly. If he doesn't you might very well take the pot down there.

The way the hand ended I assume that villian2 did not have the Queens.
Aces doesn't seem very likely unless he is a real idiot.

I think that your point about raising the turn is a good one; if i'm reraised by V2 i know that i'm behind and can get away from the hand. Furthermore, perhaps he would fear QQ and fold (he was extremely tight). I like this line. Also, i didn't lead the flop b/c i planned on c/r after seeing what V2 did. If he raised V1's bet (it was uncharacteristic of him not to bet here) i was going to call, and if he just called, i was going to raise. Anyways, thanks for the responses everyone...
