I 8-table 30/60, but not close to 40 hours a week.

People try to make money at poker because they hate working. 40 hours a week every week of the year eight tables at a time is WORK like no other.

I often 6-7 table (but not according to PT, it's closer to like 5.5 or 6.) and play 20 hours per week and that's more than almost all my other poker pro/semi-pro friends.

40 hours per week of 8 tabling sounds absolutely miserable. Yuck. You're right it would be good money but you'd want probably quickly want to kill yourself. Sure you could do it for a bit, but not week in and week out.

One would have to have the psychological fortitude of a living God Man to handle playing 8 tables of 30/60 LHE 40 hours a week, every week of the year.

One would also have to have no other goals in life than becoming a dominant LHE poker player. The two just don't go together. Living God Men aspire to such things as World Domination, not merely mastering limit hold em.

Agreed. I think those of us that are "pro" but still enjoy the game NEED to mix in some live play. Being that reclusive is unhealthy, regardless of what your profession.

i, among other "pros" i know and talk to make more than 1bb/100.

NONE and i mean NONE OF THOSE PEOPLE play 40hrs / week 8 tables. its too hard. too tiring and too demanding.

one of my friends who is a >1.7bb/100 winner at 30/60 on party hasn't played in a long time and doesn't need to. he makes a very comfortable living playing whenever he damn well pleases.

960k from 30/60 exclusively. no chance.

It's even more than $960k.

It's about 500 hands per hour. So 4000 hands per day. 4000 * 365 = 1,460,000 hands @ 1.67BB/100 ($1/hand) you end up at $1.46 million.

Not too shabby, but completely insane to attempt. 8 tabling 8 hours per day will drive one to kill themselves, I would imagine.
