Default Recommended cardrooms in Cancun?

(Nothing came up in search, first post in B&M, please be gentle. Yes, I read the FAQ also)

I'm going to be taking a vacation to cancun over winter break. Anyone have experiences with any casinos there? (I'm not even sure if there are any)

I'm not sure what the gambling laws in Cancun are, but I'm only 18, if that makes a difference.

Thanks a bunch!

Yeah, we've been calling and all the hotels said things weren't too bad. Also, rates for everything got slashed, so it should make the trip much cheaper.

Google.

Eh, maybe you're too young for Google, but when I was growing up (or when i was 20 - I'm 24) we used something called Google.

When I found this forum I still used google. When I wanted to learn about starting hands - instead of asking it here - I used ... probably Yahoo search engine, but when I wanted to find it again, I used Google.

This was the first link I found for "casinos in cancun" had this to offer:

Are there casinos in Cancun?
The only legal gambling in Mexico is sports betting. There are no legal casinos in Mexico. Some resorts do have Casino Nights, but you don't play for money, you play for prizes. Some resorts have slot machines, but the prize is not cash. Your winnings are in the form of vouchers that are good only for stuff at "that" resort. Check the resort for details.

So, my guess would be the games aren't very good.

Edit: I should add, that you did put forth effort to use the search function. I should also add that I would probably look for starting hands on this website.
