Villian is 29/15/2.0/36 over 5K hands. I'm planning on calling a river bet or betting if checked to.

I'd 3-bet PF. The turn check is good I think. AK has 7 outs and AT/A9 have 5 (though it's somewhat likely that you will get an extra BB out of these on the river by checking when he would have folded otherwise). KT has 2 outs and 4 split outs and the same in parentheses applies. Besides these combos you are in fairly bad shape against his range. Checking for a cheap shot at the 3-outer when behind seems like the play.

im not a fan of the turn check. id prefer to bet it, call a checkraise and fold the river UI.

board: QdTh9s8c

QsKs 54.042% 1,646 37
ATo-AJo,A9s,KTo,66-88,KJs,TJs,AKo,TT,AA 45.957% 1,397 37

its hard to give a hand range to villain because some hands are weighted more than others. to compensate for this i assigned suited hand ranges to some hands and only put TT in the range because QQ/TT/99 should really be 3betting this flop.

You left out QJs + QJo. If you include KTo in the range, these should be there.

It's a tough spot to try and calculate. But they way I think it helps to think about it is what happens to the hands I'm ahead of when I bet? What happens when I'm behind.

Well AT, A9, KT are probably going to fold. They aren't making a FTOP error.

All the straights are check raising me. Basically there isn't a hand I can value bet against and there are a lot of hands that I'm drawing live against. (I know there is some value in having a worse hand fold, but not as much as saving a bet when behind + having a worse hand actually call on the river)

He had ATo and I value bet him on a blank river.

i didnt include QJ cause i cant see him not 3betting this flop with that hand, at least rarely.

after thinking about it some more im not sure about the turn bet. this could be a situation i need to improve on because im kind of at a loss for wisdom here. the check does seem sensible.
