Default Tough spot with second boat

From memory,
1/2 NL 9 max on FTP I think. Villain just sat down recently, I didn't see the hand he gained chips on unfourtunately, so I don't really know anything about him. Effective stacks are around $300.

Hero is CO with AQo.
UTG+1 limps, folds to Hero, Hero raises to $9, UTG+1 calls.
Flop 8 Q Q r.
UTG+1 checks, Hero bets $17, UTG+1 calls.
Turn Kx.
UTG+1 checks, Hero bets $40, UTG+1 calls.
River Kx.
UTG+1 pushes, Hero?

What hand with a king is calling you on that flop? K8? Is that limping UTG? I dunno, his river play seems real fishy to me.

It's hard to see him doing this without a king, because he has to think you might have a king and it's really hard to find a hand with a king to put him on except for maybe KQ.

It definitely looks suspicious, but without a decent read I just can't see calling off another ~$230 on a hand where you basically only beat a bluff.

Well that's what I was thinking. I guess the question is does he have 88 or just a bluff often enough to offset the times he has KQ AK or K8? You have to add in the money I throw away when I fold a split pot as well. Any other answers?

I puke then fold here. Looks a lot like KQ to me. I doubt it is 88, but its possible. Its a sucky posotion because if you call the best ur probably going to get it a split. If stacks were't so deep I'd consider calling.

With no read, it's hard to call that big of a bet.
