OOT UK Jolly Boys day: Field Report
A quiet affair in the end.
Several were coming, but couldn't show for this or that, and ended up with 3 of us [img]/images/graemlins/laugh.gif[/img] My barstidge fargin train was delayed - BELGIUM! - and scuppered my plans to go sightseeing St Pauls Cathedral before meeting up, so just ended up going straight there [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img] I met Vavavoom at midday-ish at a special club that plays a game that is best not mentioned. We shot the breeze for quite a while, talked about the game that remains nameless, bitched, laughed, and shook our heads on the various OOT shenanegins we read about (and Vavavoom clued me in on watching the Challenge videos - I couldn't be bothered before, but must of course remedy this after hearing about them). TomDemaine turned up at 1:45, and a tournament in something you don't want to hear about started at 2, so we all went our seperate ways till busting out. It was a field of 98, and I myself busted out about 5 hours later [img]/images/graemlins/tongue.gif[/img] and placed 5th in the money nicely, thangyew. The boys were then in a ring game in the thing we daren't broach here, but that broke up pretty quickly, and we went to a pub and shot the breeze a bit more, winding it up at 8:30 We did decide that for the next one - no tourneys, but probably a piss-up followed by a casino. no pics, as none allowed in club, and guys just taking pictures of themselves on the dark streets of London would be supergay. Oh, on the way home, I encountered a gang of Millwall football hooligans at the station, and had to duck a full can of lager that came flying at my head, but the pussies left me alone after I scowled at them. Definitely great to meet vavavoom and TomDemaine, and shame no more could make it, but hopefully the next one will be more sordid, seedy, and suitably oily to better entertain the folks of OOT. Just kidding, hope ya had fun and grats on the win. I think it sounds like you needed some good old fashioned American idiotic puking and such. Maybe the hooligans could instruct.
