Default sb vs. bb

BB is loose passive.

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
3 folds, Hero raises, BB calls.

Flop: (4 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, BB calls.

Turn: (3 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, BB calls (quickly, don't know if it matters).

River: (5 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, Hero calls.

Final Pot: 7 BB

BB is loose passive.

If the opponent is really loose passive (wtsd over 55 and river aggression below .6-.7) bet/fold river. Weaker 2-x's will call...you'll see Ace, Queen, and maybe even Jack high call this. He would have woke up with a 9 on the turn.

If he's a moderately loose passive I believe check/folding is better than check/calling...if you check I don't think he's betting with a hand you beat (ie: 2-x or ace high). One advantage to checking is that he might check through with a better hand (low-mid pocket pairs and 6-x) and you save a BB..

OOP with bottom pair against a passive habital caller always sucks, because it seems like you are either always slightly ahead or way behind, and you're doing all the betting for him.

Still, I see nothing wrong with your line. I would play the hand the same way, but then check/fold the river (unless I had a specific read that had him capable of bluff betting the river with nothing quite often).
