My mom wasn't allowed to place a small christmas decoration on her desk because it was "religous" (it wasn't actually religous, it was like a little tiny christmas tree).
Anyone else think that is freaking retarded.

Sure your mom's wasn't offensive, but it's a lot easier to say "nothing", than someone who has a full scale manger scene. Also, they may be fearful of lawsuits. Private company, have her bring it up with the management.
