That black sphere in the table...what is it? It looks like a camera, which is pretty odd they'd just smack one there.

Wow that's odd. I bet you're right that it is a camera that can spin around, or maybe it is multiple cameras trained on each player. It might be a "staredown" angle or somesuch? I bet it will be pretty cool. I wish ESPN would innovate on the level that WPT does.

From Daniel Lazerek's final table coverage

[ QUOTE ]
The WPT has put two new cameras in the center of the table. They are hemispherical glass, about the size of half a large grapefruit, and they're placed in the center of the table. These cameras should provide some interesting new angles, but I wonder whether or not they will interfere with the dealing and chip movement.

Did you also notice D'agostino wearing a full tilt shirt? I guess WPT now allows players to wear shirts promoting poker sites.

They explained to us that there are some kind of cameras in here. Not sure what kinds of shots exactly they will provide. They didnt appear to interfere with play or with the dealers at all.

This reminds me of one of the funnier moments at the final table. About an hour into the taping one of the crew comes over with a little sticker and puts it on Singer's shirt. Singer had FULLTILTPOKER.COM on his shirt. So they came over with a little sticker that says .NET and stick it over the .COM. Very amusing.

I believe that's the 'nosehair" camera. I hope you were prepared Bob.
