Default Stars Customer Service

I don't think the customer service at PokerStars can be praised enough. Recently I made an order on their FPP store. A hat, stainless steel mug, stress ball, and the stretch tank-top for my girlfriend. Not only did it arrive 4 weeks earlier than advertised, but today when I opened it up, also inside was a pokerstars.com wrist/money band, a box of pokerstars.com branded Beechies, and a WCOOP PokerStars t-shirt. Now being that I work in advertising, I know that all three of these items are just to further entice me to deposit and to serve as free walking-advertisements for them, but it is still very nice from a customer perspective to open your box and receive a few extra items.

But what made me really happy was the fact that my mug was broken. No, I do not get off on receiving broken items. But I had been e-mailing back and forth with their 'ideas' department about a SNG TLB. I received the package just as I was sending off an e-mail to the ideas department today and mentioned it. Not too quickly afterwards, the FPP Store Support e-mailed me to tell me that a new mug would be on its way no later than Wednesday. From a Customer Relationship Management & Customer Service stand point, this is top-notch in my view.

Just wanted to pass it along.

Wow, it's great you work in advertising, I can't believe no one had seen through them before.

Thanks for pointing out their devious plan about marketing, I would never have guessed what their plan was, I really thought Poker Stars were just being nice to me because my avatar there is a friendly looking Penguin.

I just love Stars support!
They just prove themselves again and again...
Here's a recent favorite of mine:

My original e-mail to support (slightly edited for obvious reasons)

Hi there.
>Earlier today I set up my girlfriend with an
>account...
>Her screenname is xxxxx, (mine is ChipFish).
>I am aware (and agree with) the fact that we can NOT
>play at the same table, but she wants to play against
>me...
>Is it ok for us to play 1 on 1 in one of the heads-up
>tables?
>
>I just want an "OK" before doing this...
>Chip-dumping is obviously not an issue as I funded her
>account... (although I may let her win a few hands
>where I probably know I'm ahead for "relationship"
>reasons *wink wink*

>Collusion would also be a non-issue for obvious
>reasons.
>
>Thanks,
>James

And the great response:
Hello James,

Thank you for your email. If you're playing off the same IP address our
system might prevent you from doing that altogether but if it doesn't then
we wouldn't have a problem with it no.

As a guy with a long-term girlfriend myself I probably would recommend
upgrading "letting her win a few hands..." to "letting her win MOST
hands..." but that is your choice...

they do a great job of attracting smart, top notch players...which is exactly why i don't play there.

27k players logged on right now.
I think they are up to 60k or so during peak hours.
Incredibly, more than a few of them aren't very good at poker.

The stretch tank-top for my girlfriend.

I believe the most important part of this post is...how does she look in the tank-top?
