Re: A4s out of position
[ QUOTE ]
Why would you call for 1sb in a 2sb pot, and then fold for 1sb in a 5+sb pot? [/ QUOTE ] I wouldn't be folding it for 1(probably), but I'd seriously consider folding it for 2 more, even given the size of the pot. It would have to be called by quite a few before it got to me to make it worth it in my mind. 5:1 is better odds on my money than 6+:2 up to 9. |

Re: A4s out of position
Yup, I make this call UTG all the time. I really believe in limping with Axs against a not too aggresive table.
I check behind on the turn as well and the river play is self explanatory. |

I was referring to a single raise back to you after limping. Calling two is out of the question. |

[/ QUOTE ] Assuming you're not being sarcastic, I'd like to know your thought process. You present a different answer than everyone else so far. Do you have any PT stats for A2-5s from UTG or UTG+1. I'd like to know what people get when they play these hands. Thanks |

Re: A4s out of position
I haven't been playing with pokertracker long enough to have a large enough sample size...Your chance of flopping a flush draw is about 6.4-1. THese are good odds when you consider how loose micro limit tables are. I think it's a profitable hand. It is also an easy hand to let go if you miss your draw completely.
It just becomes a difficult hand to play when you flop TP without a kicker. There is no specific one way trick to play a hand like this because it depends on how passive/loose/aggresive your opponents are, and a bunch of other variables. |
