Default Maximum Extraction with KK

Pokerstars $1/$2 9 Handed.

I have ~ $100, covered by opponents in hands...FWIW, table is 42/9 according to PT for about 50 hands....Pretty aggro table...I probably have tight image, lost a big hand ($80 pot) when AK lost to AT with a T river....

I'm UTG with KcKd

I raise to $8 (mistake ??)
UTG+1 calls, 2 folds, LP calls, Button folds, SB folds & BB calls.

4 see flop of 2d 2c Td....

BB checks, I check, UTG+1 checks and LP bets $6. I min-raise back to $12, 2 folds and LP calls...

Turn : Qh

I bet $22 and LP calls

River : Ks

Whats my bet here ?

Let's see...if I read this right, you have about $58 dollars left and the pot is at around $92. LP seems to have a hand he wants to show down, so I think you can justify pushing all in here. I was going to say 1/2-3/4 pot bet, but that just about puts you all-in.

As for how the hand is played...the amount raised pre-flop is fine. Lead this flop for about 3/4-full pot. You have too many people in the pot to get fancy and check and risk a free card. If you're going to go for a check-raise, it's better to do it on the turn when you only have one opponent. Most people will make a bet with jsut about anything after a PFR has bet the flop then checked the turn, but I wouldn't do that here, I'd just bet bet bet. If villain has AT, you aren't getting much out of him on the river here anyway, he's beating nothing and I'm sure he knows this.

Can't add much to what Trumpman said. You played it the way I would have played it. I would push the river, if your stacks were bigger maybe half to three-fourth pot. You have a monster, either you will get paid or your opponent will fold immediately, there really isn't an in between for this hand.

Yeah I gathered as much - I bet $48, he folded....

I assume he put me on AK or KQ.....

I'm trying to get value out of my hands on the river as this area has been letting me down...

Umm...your plan for this hand should have been:
raise preflop
bet flop
push turn

Then you have no hard decisions. If someone else raises this flop, with only 50bbs I'm just pushing. In any case, now that you're here: ALL YOU CAN EAT BABY!

Um...I thought you were a winning player? OP played this flop terribly.

Edit: The turn stinks pretty bad, too. The combination is absolutely attrocious. No awareness of stack sizes at all.

I was out of position....

Why does the turn stink ? I need to get value out of my hands, and the only hand(s) that call me or raise me on flop is TT,AA or any 2.......I'm not too sure of exact stack sizes....but I was probably playing about 16/8....approx 100 hands so far...

I know. Why do you think I thought you had position?

Because you didn't bet enough. And because you left yourself with a very awkward stack. With only 50bb there is no excuse for not being all in on the turn.

What would have been the best way to lead the flop...?

I would have been announcing I had a big pair that I wanted to protect, I'm trying to get away from pushing hands on flop, as that is costing me money, as I'm getting stacked by sets/trips and flush draws that are not folding....I should have check raised more when given the opportunity, but up until and including turn, I was convinced I had the best hand...
