Default B & M moving to online play

good/successful limit player (30-60 to 80-160) wanting to play online. do i need to be using some type player tracker to track stats of other players to be a successful online player? is this only necessary for multi-talblers or is it a MUST for anyone looking to be successful online.

also, what sites are best for soft play and what software is good and easy to use to track and get stats on other players.

thanks

If you find it usefull, it will be just as usefull regardless of how many tables your playing.

Also, check out PokerAce.

Even if you only single table, I think Pokertracker and PokerAce are useful. PT is very revealing, even to experienced B&M players. As a successful B&M player, I am sure you keep records--PT is worth the $55 for just automating your records.

Having a HUD like PokerAce is useful because it is very hard to remember that StacysMom801 is a TAG and StacysMom643 is LP. Players pop in and out of tables so frequently the HUD is useful to keep track of who's who.

Heads up display. It takes the poker tracker stats for the players you have played against and overlays them by the player at the table. As you play more hands against players or "mine" hands from them this information becomes more accurate.

Also, the levels online are not analogous to live levels. In terms of player ability 30/60 live may correspond to about 5/10 online. Wouldn't want you to play higher than you should and then making a rigged!! post
