Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Re: unsure what to do
Reads really help. If CO is really passive, I think you can make a nice lay down there on the flop. Yes, I just said that.

Re: unsure what to do
I think you are way behind with possibly only 1 safe out. I would fold this and be happy that I didn't lose any more bets.

Re: unsure what to do
I would coldcall and see what the turn brings. You may be up against top pair, two pair, a set, a draw, or some combination of those hands, and the turn card and action will help you figure out just what's going on here.

Re: unsure what to do
I would put someone on 2 pair, also possibility of a set (jj, I would think), as well a flush draw.. all 3 could be lurking. I see very little possibility for hero to improve. What would card would you expect to improve your hand?
Or is anyone arguing that you can win unimproved? |

Or is anyone arguing that you can win unimproved? [/ QUOTE ] You will often win this unimproved against an overaggressive King and an overzealous flush draw. I'm not going to say more than 50% of the time, but often enough that folding the flop would be incorrect. My default line, yes, is to cap and lead the turn. I think that would be a fine line for this occasion, though I would be cautious about which turn cards I'd lead. Don't fold this flop though. Rob |

Re: unsure what to do
thats what id do, if I had to do it over. Id cap the flop and lead the turn, assuming the flush card or another scare card didn't show its face. I had no reads, I hadn't seen either player get out of line, but I had been at the table for a mere 20 to 30 hands.
