I should have capped this and led out on turn right? Then call a raise?

Reads really help. If CO is really passive, I think you can make a nice lay down there on the flop. Yes, I just said that.

I think you are way behind with possibly only 1 safe out. I would fold this and be happy that I didn't lose any more bets.

I would coldcall and see what the turn brings. You may be up against top pair, two pair, a set, a draw, or some combination of those hands, and the turn card and action will help you figure out just what's going on here.

I would put someone on 2 pair, also possibility of a set (jj, I would think), as well a flush draw.. all 3 could be lurking. I see very little possibility for hero to improve. What would card would you expect to improve your hand?

Or is anyone arguing that you can win unimproved?

You will often win this unimproved against an overaggressive King and an overzealous flush draw. I'm not going to say more than 50% of the time, but often enough that folding the flop would be incorrect.

My default line, yes, is to cap and lead the turn. I think that would be a fine line for this occasion, though I would be cautious about which turn cards I'd lead.

Don't fold this flop though.

thats what id do, if I had to do it over. Id cap the flop and lead the turn, assuming the flush card or another scare card didn't show its face. I had no reads, I hadn't seen either player get out of line, but I had been at the table for a mere 20 to 30 hands.
