Re: 1600x1200 LCD monitors (other than Dell and Samsung) and eye strai
I like my dell. I have the 20 inch one. It rocks. I got it for less then 700. Maximum PC rates this as the best LCD out. or that they have tested.

Re: 1600x1200 LCD monitors (other than Dell and Samsung) and eye strai
I know you said not dell, but I have to help clera something up.
60hz refresh on an LCD is different than 60hz refresh on a CRT. the LCD is updating 60times per second, while the CRT is flashing 60 times per second. I could barely stand 75hz crt's, especially in games. I can really notice the flicker. It's really damn annoying, so I know what you're talking about. I have 2 of the dell 2001fp's and they are fantasitc in games. No bluring, no tearing, no flickering. Just perfect. And eye strain?! HA. These things are easy on your eyes. |

I'll probably get the dell. i didn't want to rehash an old debate, except to see if the samsung was much better on the eyes (as a few had said in other topics). i also wasn't sure if the viewsonic and possibly some other models were available, but left out of the debates for any particular reason. gotta be a bit cautious with a $6xx purchase.. even if it is with poker winnings |
