I don't know what the difference in strategy between the 1500 stacks and the 800's(the ones I play) but I always fold this in early rounds.

You are certainly not giving up much long-term by folding the turn

Fold the turn. I like the flop lead, but when you are called and he pots the turn it is most likely a stronger king. People usually don't limp K9 or worse. This is KQ/KJ/22 most of the time. The way you played it, the river is a flod.

ditto. I'd say that for most people who aren't really good at poker (i.e. can read others' hands), folding KTo in MP in the early rounds of a tournament is very +ev.

Um, I was in the big blind. That is why the title pleaded for someone to raise preflop. Also, calling me bad at poker is mean. To those who didn't ask me to fold my big blind out of turn, thanks for the input. I think the turn was a fold, too.

Sorry, didn't see that you were in the BB (converters help this). Also, I didn't say that you were bad at poker. You might be quite a bit better at poker than I am, but I'm talking about people who are really good at poker. People like ZeeJustin, Gigabet, or even someone like ExitOnly (MTTer). I in no way meant that you are bad at it.

Does it affect your analysis that the villain is SB in the hand, and check/called the flop? It was just a weird line, check/call flop lead pot on the turn.... KQ might play this way. I guess it took me more than 100 lead on the turn to believe it. Meh. I should've folded the turn. Reads help here -- sucks when it's the first hand.

Yikes, missed that villain is SB. Sloppy. Changes things. I probably call the turn here, and fold the river thinking I might have the best hand.
