Is 6 max the only thing worth playing
Since they started the .5/1 6m tables i have only played about 500 hands in the full ring and about 6k in 6m and i find the play in fulll ring to be too tight, even for .5/1. I think that if im only going to play with 2-3 ppl to the flop, i might as well be playing 6m. For the rest of the levels as i have little experience in anything past .5/1, will it be profitable or worth it at least for knowledge value to ever go back to full ring?? Thanks for all the comments.

Re: Is 6 max the only thing worth playing
From a learning stand point, it's good to know how to play in a rock garden, too. However, there's lots of good stuff to learn and money to be made at 6 max tables. Also, you can use Grunch's table selection method and get HUSH play at full ring tables (great for 2/4 on party, where there is no 6 max, btw).
Also, when I've been playing on Absolute lately, the 6 max tables are generally much softer than the full tables. However, I one time looked up and saw a 60% to the flop full ring table, and the 6 max tables were playing tight. My decision of where to play was easy. |

Re: Is 6 max the only thing worth playing
I haven't played a single hand of full ring since 7/1, and I don't miss it at all.
I can't comment too much on FR at Party since I haven't played there since the 6-max tables opened. Recently, though, I've been playing a lot of .5/1 6-max at Stars (clearing the last reload and working my way toward a cool fleece pullover thingy that will surely result in my getting laid nightly once I get the requisite 1800 FPPs). I can definitely say that at Stars, .5/1 6-max is lightyears softer than .5/1 full. Stars' 6-max game is only slightly tougher than Party's, actually. Actually, I guess I can add one anecdotal piece of info from Party. Back when I was playing FR, there was a handful of players who I played against constantly. They were multitabling mice (TPAs) who were clearly weak-tight and pretty easy to play against. I haven't seen a single one of them at the 6-max tables. |

I'm finding 1/2 9max fun as well.

[/ QUOTE ] please link us [/ QUOTE ] nothing much to it, you sit down at an empty table, wait for players to sit down. chances are they will suck at SH, or just suck in general. the table becomes filled with horrible "action players". wash, rinse, repeat. |

Variance is lower in full ring.
