Re: AKo - waiting until the turn...
[ QUOTE ]
Its less likely they'll hold a 3 or 4 in their hands with the Preflop action. [/ QUOTE ] It's not that less likely. -d |

Re: AKo - waiting until the turn...
[ QUOTE ]
did 85o get there? don't worry he woulda called 2 bets on the flop anyway. i do't think raising the flop or turn here matters. [/ QUOTE ] No, I chopped with the UTG+1 raiser. I was raising ANY turn card (or betting a diamond, more likely), (I also may have screwed it up a little, it may have been A28/9 on the board, but that doesn't really add anything to the range of hands that would call 1 and not 2 on the flop.) My only concern was 1pr hands without an ace, which, if I raise the flop, get odds to see the river when the turn gets checked to me - whereas they only get to see the turn correctly if I wait. I also get more value from the flush draw's call on the turn when I face him with 2 cold. Normally I do raise the flop here, but this seemed like a good place to wait, even though the board wasn't that scary. I suppose a better one to wait would be an AT4 -ish board, though. -d |

Re: AKo - waiting until the turn...
Keep in mind when computing odds that you need to take into consideration final pot size:size of flop and turn calls.

Re: AKo - waiting until the turn...
there's like 10 BB in the pot, lots of stuff will be able to call the turn for one bet
