I get the sinking feeling that the traditional TH&C mold is now being reserved for casinos, as some "anti-counterfeiting" measure. Thus, a special mold for the consumer chips and the limited selection of colors and edge spots - presumably combinations that you won't see in any casino.

But, here's a thought. I notice that some of the bigger get-togethers (BARGE, CCGTCC, etc) will have special chips made (through the casino?) for their yearly get-togethers. For instance, the semi-stylin' CCGTCC chips for their Palms get together:



Likewise, Celebrity Poker Showdown has their own custom TH&C chips made for them, again by way of the Palms casino.

Any thoughts toward doubling up on one of these yearly "commemorative" get-togethers with the aid of a casino?
