Realise that a $5 bet into a ~$10 pot is not going to chase out someone with a draw, even though the board is paired! Also, this is $25NL, so many players don't think too much about odds and paired boards.

Remember that the goal shouldn't necessarily be to push draws out of the pot... it should be to charge them the maximum to see their draw incorrectly (although it is very likely that a larger bet would have been called). A lone flush draw only has about a 19% of winning on the river, so any bet that lays worse than 4:1 while still being called is a "good" bet, while any bet that forces him to fold correctly is a "bad" bet.
