Re: Friday\'s Micro MTT Challenge RESULTS
Why not just use the TLB formula? It's a little bit of math, but I assume you put everything on a spreadsheet anyways. We can give point to top 33% of finishers or top 15% like Stars does.
Points = 10 * [sqrt(n)/sqrt(k)] * [1+log(b+0.25)] Where: n is the number of entrants k is the place of finish (k=1 for the first-place finisher, and so on) b is the buy-in amount in dollars |

Re: Friday\'s Micro MTT Challenge RESULTS
I think part of the idea was to get rid of the buyin factor, but I think it is important to use field size as a factor. Maybe we could just mod it to take out the buyin component.

Re: Friday\'s Micro MTT Challenge RESULTS
This was something along the lines of what I was thinking here. I was a little too beat and mathematically deficient to go into details.
The difficulties with the point system notwithstanding, ExitOnly has done a great job running this type of event; I was sorry I missed the first one. The challenge allows people of many different bankroll levels to participate, which is fun. We can't all take on the 500K every week. So, kudos to Exit for running this event. And I'm in for Sunday, if my keeper lets me out. -D. |

Re: Friday\'s Micro MTT Challenge RESULTS
I would do it on Sunday with the same or more $ attached.

Yes, I love the fact that the small fries like me can participate in these forum challenges. I think I'm gonna be in the sunday event as well.

Re: Friday\'s Micro MTT Challenge RESULTS
I think the idea is to have a non-prohibitive amount of money spent- at least this is what makes this challenge attractive to me. The more participants, the merrier.
I also think Exit had some sidebets going on. Perhaps he would be willing to administer separate flights with additional larger buyins (challenge buy-ins, not tourney buy-ins) for those who want to play for more money. I think he would be willing to do that. So, we're still all playing in the same tournaments, there's just a second (and third or fourth) reckoning for the $50 challenge level, and the $500 challenge level. I want to compete with you; I don't want to have to spend half of my roll to do it. -D. |

[/ QUOTE ] Yea like blindcurve said, i had larger side bets going, and i would more than willing to organize different levels of buyins, i want the higher limit players to get in on this, i think it's fun nfor everyone to get to compare their results and be able to compete w/ the 'MTT forum pros'. So if any of the other higher stakes players would be attrtacted by a 2nd level of higher stakes, let me know some numbers. |
