Meh. I've been 8-tabling the 22s for about 4 days now, and I think it's possible to become stupider watching these games.

Oh. Maybe that's my problem.

Octave: glad to hear you and your sister are each doing well in your separate recoveries. Hope they both (especially your sister's) continue -- I've gone through the addiction recovery thing myself, and had a bunch of friends, some of who did, some of who sadly didn't. It sounds like she's on the right track, and having a loving, supportive family can only help. Good luck to all of you.

Am I the only one that hopes his sister is in jail for stealing $4,000?

Probably so. You see, poker players tend to be intelligent people.

Man, all the best to your sister and family, that's a very tough one. Is she getting methadone? In most cases it increases the chances of a full recovery by A LOT.

Good luck to all of you.

My parents and brother declined to press charges.

A stipulation for her going into rehab again was that she would have to make restitution to all of the places that she wrote the checks to. I am not sure what the arrangements are, but she is definitely facing the consequences of her actions.

To all who have offered kind words, I extend my thanks again.

I'm glad to hear the story and wish your family well. I've had to deal with someone in our extended family who is in a similar situation and suffice to say it isn't going as well.

p.s. good job on your recovery.

pps someone who thinks she should be in jail is a jerk.

Methadone is evil.

I'm going through a similar issue with a family member. Best of luck to you all.
