Default Is this rake unbeatable?

Local casino has 10/20 holdem 10 max, no raking of the pot, however its $1 per hand, they get around 25 hands per hour.

So in an 8 hour session thats $200, or 0.2bb/100

I have played this game and find it very dificult to beat, is this rake structure to much?

How do you work it out?

For 100 hands, the rake is $100, split 10 ways it's $10 for you, or 0.5 big bets, not 0.2. That's not a bad rake compared to either fixed hourly or percentage numbers. However, like all rakes, it's hard to overcome.

On the other hand, I don't see how the casino can make money earning $25 per hour per table. If the rake is $1 per hand per player, it's too high. No one can make money paying 5 big blinds per 100 hands. Either way, it looks as if someone is losing money here.

That's disgusting. $5/half hour is a pretty standard time charge for 10/20. If you are getting around 40 hands per hour, that means that this place is charging four times as much.

What casino is this? Is this in Europe?

This is $10 per round, even if there is no flop!? That's a license to print money if I ever saw one. (But how stupid is this place for only getting in 25 hands per hour, when they earn money by the hand!)

so that's 5BB/100 hands.
Unless everyone else at the table is a complete idiot (and they may well be if they are willing to pay this rake...) you can't beat this game.

Did you say rake or rape?

At $7 per half hour they would collect $126 per hour
At $3 per hand at 35 hph totals $105
At $5 per hand at 35 hands per hour totals $175

At $9 per hand at 35 hph totals $315

Say they are taking an extra $150 per hour divided by 9 = $16 an hour of your potential profit.

it is 5 bb/100, not .2

party 10/20 6m is about 1.4 bb/100. so that's like having to beat the party game for 3.6 bb/100 to make up for it

Yeah sorry my math is way off, but how do you work out wether the rake is beatable or unbeatable.

The same casino charges $1.50 per hand for the 5/10 half pot game, what is that like?

I'd say if the rake is more than -2 bb/100 it's not worth playing unless it's the softest 10/20 game ever

I don't know what a half pot game is so I can't answer that question.
