Default do you have a song that makes you sad...

but you keep listening to it?

What is it?
Why is it sad for you? (I'll take any 'sad' song or C & W as read)
And why do you keep listening to it?

Adagio-Albinoni. It is sad to me because it brings up childhood memories of my mom playing it for me. I miss that. I keep listening to it because it is just a beautiful piece and sometimes sadness is not a bad feeling.

"American Pie" by Don McLean and "Cat's in the Cradle" by Harry Chapin.

I think everybody thinks the first one is sad and the second reminds me that I don't always take enough time for some people.

And I keep listening because they're good songs.

Okay,

mine's an old song, don't think it got to the USA - 'paris match' by the Style Council

it's a song about regret, longing and thinking on things that have passed or cannot be.

It makes me think of the things in my life that I regret, have missed or lost, and is sad, sublime, and nostalgic all at once. Remembering them can sometimes be sweet.

I feel bad for you. Saw Floyd do this in an outdoor concert on an island in the middle of the Rhine river and this song brings a smile to my face whenever I hear it.

For me it's Tears In Heaven and Life By The Drop.

two of them:
don't turn around-aswad
wild world-maxi priest

my ex-gf wanted a reggae mix tape, so I made on with these two songs opening/closing the tape. then she dumped me.

I still listen to them because they're good songs.

Smoke Rings in the Dark, by Gary Allan. Played it as a blind request at a wedding I DJ'd once (bad, bad idea, my first wedding ever), my girlfriend refuses to listen to it because it's so weepy.
