Depends on everything you haven't included, like the last 20 hands, etc.

About 5 hands prior I had crushed him with a pair of kings for high and A/3 for low on a board where a straight and flush was possible. Thats why I assumed he was very very loose. But I only got 70 off him. He rebought and this hand came up.

I dont know why, but I just shoved. There is no real explanation for it.

Hero raises [$264].
Villan is all-In [$92.65]
** Dealing Turn ** [ T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ]
** Dealing River ** [ 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ]
Hero shows [ 4 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ] a pair of aces.
Villan doesn't show [ A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ] a pair of tens.
Hero wins $127.35 from side pot #1 with a pair of aces.
Hero wins $405.30 from the main pot with a pair of aces.
There was no qualifying low hand.

I wasnt really sure if my decision was correct or why I even made it, so I decided to post the hand.

I wanted to see if anyone else makes the same decision or if laying it down was a better way to play it.

It sounds like you intuitively planted him on complete garbage a high enough percentage of the time to make a call here automatic in a range-of-hands sense. That's exactly the way things go shorthanded, where you have to play more by feel than by rote math. For example, when playing you probably gain a sense for the importance of how long the guy takes to fire out a bet/raise. Maybe when they come "too fast" you know he's got junk a great % of the time. The important thing is to not get down on yourself those times when a guy like this flips up top set, or your timing-based read was just an unlucky disconnect at the wrong time or whatever; and also to keep plays like this separate from hopeless calls that one occasionally makes out of stupid desperation when on tilt.

Good read and NH.

And if he does show top set, just jump into the $2k game and win it back.
