Re: Your first concert.
Van Halen, Memorial Coliseum in Portland, OR, Thanksgiving 1988.
Yes, I'd go again, and I have gone again. My first concert SHOULD have been Van Halen in Portland on the 1984 tour with David Lee Roth, but my parents wouldn't let me go. I was 12. I'm still mad at them for it. |

What was the first concert you went to? And would you go see that band now? Mine: Metallica, Damage Inc. Tour 1984, and no. I had no idea at the time what the big cloud of green smoke in the Capitol Center was. -Ash [/ QUOTE ] Rush. 1982. Capitol Center. Same cloud of green smoke. |

Re: Your first concert.
ZZ Top w/ the Black Crowes opening, Worcester Centrum, MA. Crowes later got kicked off the tour, it was when Shake Your Money Maker had just come out. I'd go again, it was a good show.
[ QUOTE ] Stevie Ray Vaughan, B.B. King and Dr. John at some blues festival the year SRV died. I win. [/ QUOTE ] Nice. I saw BB King w/ Jimmie Vaughan, Etta James, and Magic Dick and J Geils Bluestime w/ Elvin Bishop in the early nineties. Good stuff. |
