Default Another River, jt1 gonna love me :D.

This is that dude that raised the river last time. This is a multiway pot. I really think I am beat, but we are in monsterville.

Villain is Dealer he just raised AKT7Q river with QK - 24/10 / agg post flop 1.8

Hero is CO, with K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
folds to Hero who raises, Dealer 3-bets, blinds call. Hero caps, all call.

A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
check to Hero who bets, BB c/r, Hero 3-bets all call.

7 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
Hero bets, all call but sb.

J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Hero bets, Button raises, BB folds, Hero....

Pot was something between 16:1 and 18:1

Yuck, that river loves you today huh?

Based on that previous KQ hand, call and curse his Q. You're probably not good here much.... ugh

You're the first and only person who's ever referenced me on this forum.

How can you fold that and sleep at night? You should add all the bets up for us, but I think we're talking downpaymentville, here.

The pot was like 16:1, this board is almost as scary as the KQ one, but the KQ one didnt have the flush out it was also HU and a slightly smaller pot.

Against this opponent, this is an especially easy call. I would probably be calling agsint most anyone though.

I think check/call is horrible. He will bet everything that beats you, and check behind with loads of things he calls that you beat.

BLEAUGH.

check/calling this river sucks. I think you only check/call if you are 99% sure you are beaten. He hasn't shown me this yet and my set is probably the best non flush/non straight hand.

He will bet little or nothing that will call, but will bet lots that he would raise.

[/ QUOTE ]If this were the case then we should check fold. I note your points but are you saying there is not chance this guy won't take a shot at you with a missed diamond draw? I agree with you that against this persons legitimate hands betting is far superior to checking, I thought that there might be a way to get another bet from a missed diamond draw.
