do you think he'll call with A hi? I wouldn't assume it and wouldn't bet the river.

I think the river check is all right. MP1 is acting like he's chasing, and AQ did just pull ahead of you. And he'll call with that, whereas I'd imagine he'll fold ace-high most of the time.

I guess maybe a bet might finally convince MP1 to fold 88, now that there are two overcards to his pair and you're still betting. I don't really think MP1 has a pocket pair, though. I'd expect him to bet one of those on the flop, unless he's a player who's going to start check-calling because of the king.

By the way, I think you should fold preflop.

Cold calling preflop is never great, but especially not with a hand like A6s when you only have 2 people in and the blinds to act.

Apart from that you played the hand perfectly. There are very, very few hands 9if any) he is calling a bet on the river that you beat.

I don't play this pre-flop and I don't bet the river.

Checking is much better than betting. There are many better hands that will call than worse hands that will, and very few (if any) better hands will call.

Fold preflop. Nothing else matters.

Like others have said I would fold this hand preflop. And I would check the river, you dont really accomplish much by beting.
