Default QQ 5/10 hand

5/10 NL 6 max on party. Sat down 10 min ago and have no read on villian other than the fact that I see him all the time at this level and he is a bit laggish. His name is imatoolshed if that helps. I'm in MP with Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] with about 1k. I open for $45 and the SB (who seems to call everytime I raise) calls, he has about $1700. I should mention that I've been caught raising and continuation betting with some suited connectors, so my raises aren't probably getting a ton of respect. The BB goes all in for $400 ish total. Hero?

I posted so I could get what people think. I tell the results after I get some opinions.

Easy Fold IMO, people really only do this with AA or KK in my experience.

Then again a very similar situation happened earlier today when i held QQ vs. KK and lost my stack so i dunno.

I'd call here for 40% of my stack, this smells of TT, JJ, AK/AQ

No reads on BB? Darn.

In my experience, short-stacks will push many hands that are inferior to QQ. I'd call and expect SB to drop.

Given your read of sb, I think this is an easy call. If you're up against AA or KK oh well. If sb was fairly tight with cc's, this might be a little harder decision (as he could be cc with AA or KK). Was this your normal open raise? If it was bigger than normal, flags might be going off for good opponents.

i'd call...i've played w/ imatoolshed a few times, (he normally plays 6max nl 600 and 400 i think) and i think you have him beat. i think he's just making a play with JJ 1010 or AK. adding in the fact that he's a shortstack makes this a definite call in my mind.

Thanks guys. So 6 votes for call and 1 for fold. This surprises me as I thought I was making kind of a loose call when I made it. This is my normal open raise and I didn't think it was kosher to call 10x of my open raise. Villian flipped over 10 7c and I took down a nice little pot.
