huh?

i was making a point that the line drive wasnt an issue after the fact (and especially not this year), not that he didnt sucked after the AGS. if he was suffering from it, wouldnt the next three games be the ones where it showed?

you do realize i was discounting the absurd notion that he will be affectesd by the line drive this year, right? i have to ask because your use of CAPS made it seem like you were driving some point home.

i assume you're kidding, but if not that sort of statement should eliminate you from any in-depth baseball discussion

I don't have a link, but I remember discussion from September in which the Sox voiced worry over whether Clement would ever be the same after the liner. The effects that could reach into this season aren't physical, but psychological. It's pretty tough letting it all fly when all you can think about is protecting yourself from the liner that might be coming back at you this time. The fact Clement's name is even being mentioned in Overbay rumors says a lot about where the Sox think his head is at.

Hasn't Clement experienced a post-ASG dropoff in a lot of seasons? Was last season's trajectory that much of a departure for him, that we can blame the liner?

I love the Jays.

And I disagree with you.
