Default Pedestrian?

Party Poker 30/60 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

BB seems decent, so does MP1.

Preflop: Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
2 folds, MP1 calls, 3 folds, Button calls, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: (4 SB) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero bets, BB raises, MP1 calls, Button calls, Hero calls.

Turn: (6 BB) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero checks, BB bets, MP1 calls, Button calls, Hero raises, BB calls, MP1 folds, Button calls.

River: (13 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets...

Final Pot: 15 BB

Seems fine, what was the problem? If BB ended up here with AJ, that sucks...But what can you do?

Nah, I doubt that is what happened. BB had at least a deuce and may have filled up at some point and played you like a school girl plays a flute. He didn't reraise the turn cause he knew that would drive out the flush draws and maybe the dudes with a pair of aces, plus he figured you'd lead the river after check-raising the turn, and that allows him to bump and get an extra bet out of you.

Does it seem likely that BB would raise the flop with a deuce?

Depends on the player. Its a good way to disguise your hand. Besides, its not likely you'd fold anything on the flop that you would lead into that many players with just because he puts in one raise. With that many people in the hand, it makes sense for him to play it fast.

Also, what do you think his holdings are when he raises the flop AND bets the turn. Flop raise could mean he wants a free turn cause he has a flush draw, but why would he still bet the turn with so many people in if that's all he has and the scary ace hits? I could see him raising the flop with a pair of eights, but I can't really see him betting the turn if that's all he has after getting two cold callers on the flop and the ace hitting. Maybe I am dead wrong though. What did you put him on?

I did think there was a chance of the 2 being out there. But I thought an 8, 66-TT, Ax overcards or the flushdraw where more likely.
