The river call is OK. If the situation were say

Hero Checks, UTG Bets, MP1 calls, Hero ??? I'd say fold. But villain was last to act on the river, on such a scary board you'll see a bluff, and UTG being a tard enough to make this call.

Everything is fine---except the river. I bet/fold the river.

You played it fine. YOur probably beat, probably >90% sure, but with that pot I would just call and cuss for a few minutes after I saw villains cards.

River is a very easy fold IMO. You are never good here. 8 People saw the flop! Any good diamonds will stay in.

People love bluffing 4 flushes and 4 straights.

edit-there's no "always" and "nevers" in this game.

The river bet may be a bluff, but the caller is not bluffing. Horrible river, but I don't think we're good enough here to win even given the pot odds. A river bet and call in front of me with a 4-flush on the board is one of the few times I think this fold is correct, unless the pot was absurdly large.
