Default Spooky Party Security

Pay-Pro just told me I had to change my password because it's the same as the one on my girlfriend's account (which she hardly ever uses). They also asked if I had a multipoker and empire account, which I confirmed I do. The weird thing is that they didn't meantion other poker sites that are not installed on my computer that I have accounts with. I am almost certain they found those 2 sites by running spyware on my computer.

Anyway, they required a copy of my driver's license, which I sent. They claimed they didn't get it, so I called them back a few times and they were like, "ok, you're verified and everything is fine. Change your password and don't give it to anyone". Then like a day later I get an email: "Thank you for sending your driver's license. Everything is good".

Anyway, no big deal, it's just nerveracking having your income come through some channel that is suspicious of everyone.

pay-pro covers empire and maybe multi, so they probably got this through their systems, not through spyware.

i've heard that having the same password also triggers action, probably to prevent people from having multiple accounts.

Pay-pro handles the finances for all of the Party Network Sites. So i rather suspect they saved themselves the problem of searching through all the junk on your computer and did a database sort on their computer instead.

All they ever need to do is correlate on MAC addresses...

Uhm, what, did you expect them to ask if you had Prima accounst or something? Those other sites are also a part of the Pay-pro system, that's why they asked.

I find it rather comforting to have my money going through someone being suspicious per default...
