Default 5/10 NL: bottom set. Help me find a better line

This one happened a couple weeks ago. From what I remember villian is laggy like 46/22/3. I think I got outplayed here but I donnu. A better line would've prevented that from happening.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em, $10 BB (6 max, 6 handed) converter

BB ($1089.75)
UTG ($497)
MP ($892)
Hero ($4382.25)
Button ($1374)
SB ($957)

Preflop: Hero is CO with 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">2 folds</font>, Hero calls $10, Button calls $10, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, BB checks.

Flop: ($35) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(3 players)</font>
BB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Hero bets $33.25</font>, <font color="#CC3333">Button raises to $100</font>, BB folds, Hero calls $66.75.

Turn: ($235) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">Button bets $150</font>, Hero calls $150.

River: ($535) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
Hero checks, <font color="#CC3333">Button bets $1114 (All-In)</font>, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $1649

OK OK. I just hate the way this one went down. Next time I'll river a deuce and I'll be fine.

What was your plan on the flop? If I take a flop three handed against someone I don't know or someone I have pegged as LAG, and I flop trips on a monotone board, barring a read I am pretty much playing my hand for being the best. I don't play a lot of 6 handed, but from what I have played they play more Laggy than the normal full ring games. Given you felt your opponent was Laggy was there any reason why you shut down as soon as he raised you?

Pretty simple hand. If the flop raise makes you believe that he has a flush then you played it perfectly. If it does not make you believe that then you should either 3-bet the flop or call the river.

Also, I realize that this is nit-picking and not always correct, but I'd raise pre-flop.
