Default Halo 2 - new maps

Whats the word on the new halo 2 maps? are the ones that cost $$ worth it?

There's already a thread on this but...

2 FREE maps were just released, hit xbl to download them.
2 pay for maps were also released. The download for them, i believe, is 4.99.

In june i believe two more free maps come out along with 2 more pay for maps. At that time you should be able to buy a DVD at your local video game retailer with all 8 maps if you choose to do so. (You can currently get one with the first four). By end of summer all maps will be free and available via XBL.

They are not actually going into the rotation for play until next week...

I have looked at all 4 in custom games... 2 seem like the same old symmetrical boring map, 1 seems too big and complicated to be any fun (like waterworks and the level with the roads and all the vehicles in big team battle). The city level 'turf' is the only one that seems like it should be any good, and even in that case I dont know how it will play out.
