Default Value Call My Nuts? How to play this river?

Rivered Broadway first to act.... how to extract the most?

From a 30+3

Seat 1: MP2 ($2,385 in chips)
Seat 2: CO ($925 in chips)
Seat 3: Button ($2,735 in chips)
Seat 5: Hero SB [A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img],Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]] ($1,700 in chips)
Seat 6: BB ($3,035 in chips)
Seat 7: UTG ($1,910 in chips)
Seat 8: UTG+1 ($1,160 in chips)
Seat 9: UTG+2 ($1,530 in chips)
Seat 10: MP1 ($735 in chips)

ANTES/BLINDS
Hero posts blind ($15), BB posts blind ($30).

PRE-FLOP
UTG folds, UTG+1 calls $30, UTG+2 calls $30, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, Co raises to $60, Button folds, Hero calls $45, BB folds, UTG+1 calls $30, UTG+2 calls $30.

FLOP ($270) [board cards 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img],10[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img],J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ]
Hero checks, UTG+1 checks, UTG + 2 checks, CO checks.

TURN ($270) 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Hero checks, UTG+1 bets $60, UTG+2 calls $60, CO calls $60, Hero calls $60.

RIVER ($510) K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
Hero checks, UTG+1 checks, UTG+2 checks, CO bets $250, Hero???

When I checked I was hoping the turn bettor would bet again and I could trap more than one with the checkraise. In retrospect I'm pretty sure the best play was to bet out, since it is too likely it checks through or the CO ends up being the bettor with his AK and my checkraise shuts out the other two.

Comments on the river check welcome too, but now that I'm here... call or raise? If raise, how much?

Why? The argument for calling - What if the CO is trying to steal what looks like an orphan pot? I get nothing extra. A call could easily get the turn bettor to overcall with a J.

I doubt you will get a overcall, and if you raise you might get called by a K or some other hand by the CO. For all we know CO might have 2 pair.

I'm not saying that's the answer. I don't know the answer and I'm not doing the thing where I post for validation and defend against all opposition. I just wanted more from someone who says raise than "Raise". I thought it was an interesting river. Maybe not.

I think the CO being pretty likely to call is the main reason to raise. OTOH, there were a lot of marginal river calls at this table. I thought an overcall was pretty likely too.

I also wonder if betting out is better. Checkraise gets more money in if strong hands are out there, but no one has indicated they have a strong hand, which is why I think playing it softer might be better, either with a betout or a checkcall when CO bets.

I think I like betting out about 300 and hoping to get raised, though I play the low buyins and I could get two calls and then a raise for 300 sometimes.

I think the only way to get more money in here is to flat call and hope one of the checking players calls or comes over the top. All fold to any raise unless it's a split pot, at least give one of the players left to act the chance to bluff at the wrong time (sensing weakness from both CO and yourself).

Pretty sure I play it this way every time with this many players still in. One of them is bound to have gone to school on the small bus...

The river check is fine. I'd push.

CO has 40% of his money in the pot. He may be on a steal, may have a top pair, maybe 2. Maybe nothing. Hell, you may be chopping, but that's not the point.

This guy is your most likely target for chips. A miniraise lets him off easy. Trust me, if he calls a miniraise, he calls a push in this instance. That's your best chance for chips.

You would need two overcallers to make just calling correct. Reason is that CO raised preflop, so I'm guessing he has AK here (he had the same gutshot/overcards that you called with and had you hit your Q maybe you're paying him off instead) and he has about 500 chips left. I doubt you get two overcallers here, so push making it look like you think your T is good and that he's trying to steal. Worst case scenario is you chase out one overcaller and then split with AQ.
