If you check out the FAQs of this forum, the Small Stakes forum and the beginners forum you'll find enough info to get you well on your way!

Good luck!

I'm not sure if all the information is current, but Homer's building a bankroll for newbies is gold for someone in your position.

I'd recomend Pacific Poker. The bonus will definitly take a while to clear, but the micro-limit games there are great. It's a good place to learn.

there are no significant bonus opportunities for players starting below 25c/50c limits (50c/$1 and up is optimal). therefore your primary concern as a 5c/10c player is avoiding rake.

Homer's BABFN thread is outdated and does not apply to micro-limit players who are starting with less than a $100-200 bankroll. more recently, Greg J has written "Building A Bankroll In The Micros" which will definitely be of more use to you: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/sh...Number=1991448

he suggests starting at the 2c/4c or 5c/10c at Poker Stars, which I agree with. neither of these games are raked, there are plenty of games available at all times, they are loose enough to win consistently but not ridiculously loose where you're not learning good playing habits for the long run. also, you can play multiple tables at the same time which would give it the nod over a fishy but annoying site like Pacific Poker.

once you've built up above $200 then you can start chasing bonuses at Paradise Poker, bumping up to 25c/50c. at $500 you can start hitting up all the party skins 50c/$1 and be well on your way.

I know in the past month I've gotten 4 or 5 party bonuses and all were easy to clear. I was a new member so i did an intial deposit bonus, COMPBONUS, INSTANT30, the may reload bonus, and maybe one more.

It was fun
