Sean Gannon at -115 is a good bet. He was just signed and supposd to help their lacking HW div. Can't see him losing his first UFC fight, wouldn't look kill any real puch UFC would give him in the HW div (then again Justin Ellers got a title shot after a KO).Gannon is big and can punch, but more importantly he can take a punch. Don't know much about his opponet.

Forrest wins easy and The Pitbull might be UFC most rounded fighter.

Heavyweight Fight: Brandon Lee Hinkle vs. Sean “The Cannon” Gannon

Hinkle: Once dubbed “Strength Personified” by legendary MMA broadcaster Stephen Quadros, West Virginia’s Brandon Lee Hinkle has made a name for himself all over the world as a scrappy fighter with punishment on his mind. A veteran of the Rings Organization as well as the brutal International Vale Tudo Championship touting an 11-6 record, Hinkle stumbled over some early roadblocks in his career when he debuted in 1998. After losses coming from MMA legends like Ebeneezer Fontes Braga, Maurice Smith, and Carlos Barreto, Hinkle has reestablished himself over the last two years with his tenacious style and bulldog-demeanor. Most recently, Hinkle has been undefeated in his last seven fights KO’ing men like Jorge Rivera, Daisuke Watanabe, Tom Sauer and Eric Knox. Brandon Lee Hinkle has been a veteran of the game for a long time and is treated by his first trip to the UFC Octagon after nearly eight years of fighting.

Gannon: Sean “The Cannon” Gannon is 1-0 in MMA competition. This Boston Police Officer seems almost too inexperienced to be fighting on MMA’s grandest stage, considering his biggest fight wasn’t even under MMA rules. In the fall of 2004, Gannon engaged in an illegal street brawl with underground sensation Kimbo Slice at an undisclosed location surrounded only by cronies of both men. The only video of the fight, if you know where to find it, showed a brutal exchange of bare fisted shots to the face of both men. Time after time Gannon’s opponent went to the floor, mainly from exhaustion, only to get up after short breaks to recover. From the onset it was clear that neither man’s posse was about to let this fight end from a 10-count. Though Gannon “won” the fight, his face was badly swollen and bloody bringing to mind shades of Jess Willard after Jack Dempsey massacred him in their now legendary title bout. Sean Gannon has a lot to prove with such a meager record, and he will have his chance at UFC 55.

How They Match Up: This is a fight that has the chance of leaving a bad taste in a lot of people’s mouths. To say that Sean Gannon is undeserving of this chance is a bit harsh, but he would probably be more suited as a contestant on the wildly popular reality series The Ultimate Fighter. With only one real MMA bout on his resume, its hard to say what Gannon really has to offer. Hinkle on the other hand is an established vet with heavy hands and a relatively straight forward game plan. A prediction is tough to make in this fight, but one thing is for sure…it will be a furious and entertaining slugfest.
