How much is the typical time charge ?
In a typical casino (AC or Vegas), how much is the time charge ?
Is it pricier in bigger games ? Is there a noticeable difference between casinos ? |

Re: How much is the typical time charge ?
Not AC or Vegas, but Bay 101 is something to this effect, I beleive:
$7 per half for $20/40 $9 per half for $40/80 That's all I can remember with decent certainty. I think it's something like $11-13 for $80/160 and $100/200. So at least here, it starts at $7 per half and then goes up as the limits increase. |

Re: How much is the typical time charge ?
In Mississippi at Horseshoe we only time larger games. 30-60 is still a $4 rake. Anything larger is $5 per player per half hour. The problem with time games is generally the time comes out of the first pot over a certain amount. In our $300 lowball game the first 10 minutes it seems nobody will get involved for fear of having to pay the time. We used to time the 30-60 game, first pot over $200 the time came out of the pot. I've seen games go 20 minutes without a pot over $200 in a 30-60 game. I'm not agaist time games but i am against time pots. They hinder action.
