Re: Big stack with KQs
Personally i'd fold. You've got to be behind. Best case scenario you are against 2 under-pairs, more likely you are dominated by at least 1 of the hands, and you could be in real trouble against k-k or A-A

Re: Big stack with KQs
The call rather than raise also looks like he wants someone else to come in rather than he is not too strong. I've got him on A-A or K-K

Re: Big stack with KQs
AT first I was going to say fold but rethinking it I would call. You really want to take someone out here and a hand like that has a good chance of taking down the all-in. Since the UTG is all-in and the others are much shorter stacked, but close in size to each other (I'm assuming the BB will complete if you limp) that you might get a free showdown. Decent chance you catch a straight or a flush too or even take down a KJ that you might take out 2 of them as well. I think it's worth putting in the small amount of chips but fold to any real aggression if you the flop doesn't hit you hard.

He only called because there's a big stack behind and two players to act! I doubt he's on a monster hand in this situation. Probably a small pair or AJ/AT. And the UTG all-in could be on just about anything considering he'll be blinded out in the next two hands... |

BB (t1520) UTG (t545) Button (t1730) Hero (t4205) [/ QUOTE ] UTG All-in; Button Calls; You Fold: UTG Wins: BB(t1520), UTG(t1540), Button(t1185), Hero(t4205) Button Wins: BB(t1520), UTG(t0), Button(t2725), Hero(t4205) You still have massive chip lead and still a good stance to win. You call and win you're in great position to win. You call and lose: UTG Wins: BB(t1520), UTG(t1935), Button(t1185), Hero(t3810) Button Wins: BB(t1520), UTG(t0), Button(t3120), Hero(t3810) You only have roughly one round of blinds more than the 2nd chip stack at the table, or have given UTG a great chance at making it much further than he should have. I would fold and wait for a better time. I may guarantee myself a higher spot just by folding. If UTG is not out, then I even improve my overall chip position. |

Re: Big stack with KQs
Let's see, your the big stack and you have to call 395 to see a flop in a 2000 pot with KQs. How do you not call???
Blinds are 150/300 -- UTG is pushing any two, hence why Button called. He didn't push because he doesn't have that strong of a hand and is afraid of busting out on the bubble if you have a hand. My bet is that Button has AX no higher than AJ. Call if you hit a KQ or any 2 suited flop Push. UTG had to push any two from his spot, I would. |

Re: Big stack with KQs
At first, I thought "push".
After thinking some more, I'd push. |

Re: Big stack with KQs
I tend to agree with Phil actually. I think there is a good chance that Button even folds in fear of busting out on the bubble. He doesn't like his hand that much or he would have pushed. He's afraid of busting out.
