Default Quick line check .. usually fold this river, right?

I posted this in the middle of another long post today, but it's pretty burried:

I raise PF and get 1-2 callers. I hit something like top pair, good kicker, but there are two suited cards on the flop. Turn is a blank, bet, call. River makes the flush. I bet the river for 1/3-1/2 the pot and get min-raised.

I've been calling most of these, and it seems like it's always the flush. Is it always the flush? Can I comfortably fold here, or is it really read-dependant/you need more details about the particular hands?

yeah, your previous experience and play is telling you to muck, do so here.

default line should be to muck.

If you are betting all the way downa dn get raised on the river you are most likely either facing the "slow-played monster" or the "miracle card catcher" both of whom have you dead to rights. Folding is fine here because I don't toomany worse hands doing this and not every villain is bluffing every time he raises. If they do that and you have a hand, then you push.

You're river bet is basically a blocker, and the rule about blocking bets is that you don't call if raised. If villian is one of these folks who "bet small to get a call", it's much better to c/c on the end. If villian is decent, blocking bet is better.
