Check out these computer ratings:

Those numbers are badly flawed because they don't take into account margin of victory.

When you do, Fresno State looks MUCH better. Sagarin predictor has them 14th.

Notre Dame (6.5)

Most Underrated by Pollsters (Overrated by Computers?)
Northwestern (13.5 spots)

Sagarin is on crack.

His predictor has Purdue at 30th, Bama at 35th. Michigan State 17th! LOL.

There is a reason the BCS doesn't rely completely on the computers and this is it. Fresno St. is stuck in a weak conference they would love to get out of but they can't. Therefore, their conference schedule brings down their computer ranking. If you think they couldn't beat the Texas Tech's, Iowa State's or Boston College's of the world then you are mistaken.

His predictor told me LSU is a better team than 'Bama near midseason. Don't bash the predictor, when you have to look at 200+ teams, it's probably the best thing going.

Sagarin is pretty much the best subjective measure out there for College Football.

(For the NFL, DVOA is better)

Does anyone else find it hilarious that you point to computers to overrate Fresno, but discredit them when they don't agree with your own, subjective rankings?
